Dirt, is a footage collection of Super 8 and 16mm film clutter, grain and leader effects. The best and most useful clips from the original Scratchtapes DVD, have been included in this download collection and are ideal for creating faux Super 8 and lo fi film effects on digitally shot footage. Containing 20 clips, the collection can be used in any film/video project, for both commercial and non-commercial gain. Ideal for use in Final Cut Pro, Motion and After Effects templates.

Made up of a combination of standard definition DV and 720p Pro Res files, the clips range from very short 2 second flashes and light bleed, to longer and loopable grainy textures. The best way to get a feel for how they can be used, is to watch this short demo…

The download is a zip file containing 2 folders. One contains 6 HD clips and the other, 14 SD clips. You may want to rename the clips and move to your own folder structure. Any problems downloading, then please get in touch via the contact form on the about page.
